		Would it be possible to have an information update please on what is happening at the Heol y Glyn Development?
		5.20am 19/7/2021 Letters hand delivered to the councillors home addresses.
		According to the Neath-Port Talbot Council website, new plans have been put in by Enzo and the land has been tested
		and found to be contaminated with 6 different chemicals up to 9 times the safety guidelines.
		The squares highlighted in red on the image show the instances of contamination. Our group are concerned that the majority of contaminants

CONTAMINANTS TO BE FOUND CURRENTLY AT THE SITE FOLLOWING A SHALLOW TEST OF A SMALL AREA IN OCTOBER 2020.
	Lead x 1 instance (guideline 200 / registered 260) "There is no level of exposure to lead that is known to be without harmful effects." World Health Organisation
	Aromatic TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon) .C8-C10 x 2 (34 / 77 & 39) "health protection in TPHs-exposed individuals is a matter of serious concern."
	Benzo[a]anthracene x 1 (7.2 / 9.6) "a probable human carcinogen, for both oral and inhalation exposure"
	Benzo[b]fluoranthene x 3 (2.6 / 4.2, 4.8 &12) benzo[b]fluoranthene together with other PAH's are known to cause human cancer.
	Benzo[a]pyrene x 3 (2.2 / 3.1, 2.8 & 7.7) A well known carcinogen

		Heol Y Glyn Residential Development - UPDATE. Hi all, There is a lot of “mis-information” going around regarding the above, I have been asked by a few people what is the current situation? RE: Planning Consultation Reference P2021/0546 This is a current Planning Application Submitted, it has been submitted by the Agents representing Enzo Homes, so we have been told, this was a condition of the sale of the land to the new owners. The application relates to Conditions (see attached for a full list) from the previous application, it is with officers for them to produce the report based on the conditions and make recommendations. Both local ward members have requested further details of the application to be provided to us ASAP. Personally I have made my representations to officers known, that further testing of the soil at greater depths is required before any further development is allowed to commence. This is no different to what I wanted when the previous application came to the Planning Committee in Sept/Oct 2020. I do not wish to speak on behalf of Del but both he, I and Glynneath Town Council formally wrote to the Planning Department stating our concerns and requests in Sept / Oct last year. I support Development within Glynneath especially new housing BUT in this particular regards, additional and deeper testing of the soil MUST be undertaken before any development commence on this site, this is exactly the same stance that I took in the lead up to the previous Planning Application for this Development.
