Dai's walk around Wales blog - November 2021

11 November 2021

I'm not out and about walking at present due to a knee problem that seems to be hanging around a lot longer than expected. I'm still out on the bike and am getting the occasional open water swim in so things are not all doom and gloom apart from the constant rain of course. I'm getting a few things done around the house, DIY is not a strength of mine so I have to reply on the wife to solve any problems I encounter. The other day I met Tommy the Toad in the garden and here he is.

I couldn't resist having some fun with Tommy and this llama I happened upon last month.

The Gorphwysfa Club are a walking club who organise the Welsh 1000s fell race. They requested I put pen to paper or finger to keyboard to share some memories of the race which I did, and as you can see from the article title (it should read Royal Regiment of Wales its been touched up a little by the editorial team but mostly to good effect.

52.jpg (296614 bytes) This is a complaint recently submitted to the Glynneath Town Council about Councillor Haulwen Morgan who deliberately disposed of a document that identifies deaths in Brynhyfryd from an extremely rare neurodegenerative disorder that is linked to contaminant Arsenic. An above safe level of Arsenic was identified at the Heol y Glyn site in 2008 and subsequently hidden by the Neath-Port Talbot Council planning department.
