Today was the 40th anniversary re-union of Baglan RFC winning the Welsh Brewers Cup for the second time. I wasn't in the team because I had retired from being primarily a rugby player in 1981 because of recurring dislocations of my left shoulder, my last match being for Aberavon District RU against the Neath RU. I went on to play football for Baglan Boys Club 2nds but I then appeared for several teams post retirement when there was no football. This included one appearance for Baglan in the 1983/84 season away against St Alban's in Cardiff. We won the match 13-8. The 1984 final was shown on the big screen at the club. Illustrated left are the former players of Baglan RFC in attendance and to the right,a screen capture of the captain on the day Kevin 'Yashin' Gregory lifting the cup.

Baglan win the Welsh Brewers Cup for a second time at the National Stadium, Cardiff Arms Park, Cardiff. In a dour struggle in perfect conditions, centre Steve Lewis combined with his inside three quarters and Dai Lockie to score a scintillating try, converted by Gareth Downs. Penalties by Dai Lockie with a mammoth kick and David Dunn completed the scoring with Cliff Morgan, the Cimla scrum half, replying with two penalties.

At the above re-union, I was pointed to the Pyramid of Argumentation.

We had a family do at the Glynclydach Hotel in Longford, Neath so I took the opportunity to take put a sneaky walk in visiting Carreg Bica on Drummau Mountain for sunset.
